CNC Mill Machinist - 1st or 2nd Shift

Shift:

• 1st - 6:00am - 4:00pm
• 2nd - 5:00pm - 3:00am
• Average around 50 - 55hrs a week.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for operating advanced machinery with maximum efficiency in a job shop environment equipped with brand new machinery. With our business booked out for years, this role promises stability and growth.

Responsibilities

• Review the Production Part Machine schedule daily.
• Understand and follow Machine Operator Instructions and Workzone requirements.
• Operate machines to achieve maximum throughput and utilization.
• Inform management of anticipated and actual completion times.
• Notify management of anticipated conflicts for future operations.
• Perform inspections on and off the machine to ensure parts meet tolerance requirements.
• Clean and wrap machined parts for shipment.
• Update reasons for idle time daily and participate in activities to improve throughput or utilization.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Complete required preventative maintenance activities.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of CNC experience.
• Knowledge of G&M Codes.
• Program editing skills.
• Proficiency with CNC, blueprints, machining, calipers, and micrometers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Horizontal Boring Mill and Vertical Milling Machine is advantageous.

Work Environment

This role operates on either a 1st shift from 6am-4pm or a 2nd shift from 5pm-3am, requiring 50-55 hours per week. You will work in a job shop environment with advanced machinery, ensuring proper tooling, material, and setup items are available and used efficiently. The position involves collaboration and teamwork to meet and exceed department utilization and throughput goals.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $66560.00/yr.
