Job Title: RN - PCU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in PCU License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - IV starts - Patient monitoring - Medication administration - Patient education - EPIC experience - Telemetry required Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit. The position entails working night shifts with a focus on PCU patients. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a PCU setting. BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Skills necessary for this role include IV starts, general nursing skills, patient monitoring, and medication administration. Patient education is also a vital component of the position. Experience with electronic health records, specifically EPIC, is required. Telemetry experience is essential. The unit primarily deals with a variety of diagnoses including SBO, falls, lacerations, pneumonia, head injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and fractures.
