Finishing Technician I
Job Responsibilities:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. %
- 20 Under close supervision, completes tasks as directed by SOPs, routers, prints, work instructions, and manufacturing schedules.
- 20 Under close supervision operates production equipment under needed for basic deburr, finishing, and cleaning operations such as sandpaper, scotch brite, pencil grinders, bead blasters, tumblers, and heat treat oven.
- 10 Performs packaging and other duties as required.
- 10 Performs in-process checks using measuring devices and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department lead person or supervisor.
- 10 Verifies conformance of finished work pieces to specifications using measuring instruments such as fixed gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
- 5 Adheres to dimensions and tolerances found on prints.
- May use prints and sketches to determine proper methods and processes when not specified on router or work instruction.
- 5 Reworks productions parts and performs emergency rework and/or modification of production parts as directed.
- 5 Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- 5 Trains other employees.
- 5 Works on projects as part of a team, exchanging ideas and contributing skills that complement those of the other team members.
- Fulfills commitments to team members.
- 5 Recommends and implements process improvements with the support of management and the engineering department as required.

Education/Experience:
- The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 0-2 years Manufacturing experience preferred.
