There will be 15 minute
Teams interviews for intro purposes, but the full interviews will be onsite.
The selected Consultant will be directly responsible for designing a modern
intuitive UI/UX, and will have direct experience interacting with business
users to create the UI/UX. <\/span><\/p>
<\/span>
<\/p>
They will work closely
with the designated Business Users, I.T. supervisor, project managers, and
development staff within an agile development environment maintaining a
user -centered design approach as you tackle complex design problems and
influence product strategy. <\/span>
<\/p>
<\/span>
<\/p>
Proactively identifying
areas of the product that need improvement and driving those improvements into
a product roadmap. <\/span>
<\/p>
<\/span>
<\/p>
The Consultant, in
working with ODPS staff, will be responsible for researching, designing, and
developing user interface using Prototyping Designer tools. The new
applications will implement an N -tier architecture and comply with ODPS coding
standards. <\/span>

<\/p>
During the interview
process with the ODPS staff, the resource consultant must demonstrate
competence/experience in their specific area(s) of project assignment. The
resource consultant must also present or share their portfolio with samples.
The resource’s experience must also be documented for review and verification.
Offered resources not showing technical or functional competence/experience
will be a sufficient reason to reject the Offeror’s proposal. Resource
will have a background check conducted by ODPS. <\/span>
<\/p>
1. Participate in
meetings with stakeholders, business users, and engineering teams to understand
and project UI requirements. <\/span>
<\/p>
2. Design wireframes and
interactive prototypes and user -friendly designs that support complex business
processes. <\/span>
<\/p>
3. Work on various
stages of the product development process from discovery to research to design
user interface. <\/span>
<\/p>
4. Test and iterate
various product concepts with users; conduct user research and analysis to
validate the design. <\/span>
<\/p>
5. Work with project
managers, developers, and business analysts to brainstorm ideas, approaches,
and design solutions. <\/span>
<\/p>
6. Experience in
creating ‘Design System’ Library for reusability. <\/span>
<\/p>
7. Create a seamless UI
handoff process to development team. <\/span>
<\/p>
8. Ensure that user
interface and experience designs follow best practices and comply with security
requirements. <\/span>
<\/p>
9. Integration with
Backend: Work closely with backend developers to integrate front -end
components. <\/span>
<\/p>
10. Participate in
backlog grooming sessions and other agile ceremonies to ensure Agile
development teams have a good understanding of the proposed UI design to
implement successfully. <\/span>
<\/p>
11. Strong
communication/ leadership skills. <\/span>
<\/p>
12. Strong influence,
collaboration, and negotiation experience. <\/span>
<\/p>
13. Ability to
collaborate with supporting resources across business and/or functional
lines. <\/span>
<\/p>
14. Ability to
communicate ideas to a wide variety of stakeholders, lead discussions and
creative activities, and build consensus while dealing with ambiguity. <\/span>
<\/p>

<\/p>
15. Ability to lead and
manage large design initiatives, including managing competing priorities with
product and engineering peers. <\/span>
<\/p>
<\/span>
<\/p>
16. Have excellent oral
and written skills/possess strong meeting and work session facilitation
skills. <\/span>
<\/p>

<\/p>
17. Have the ability to
work independently and as part of a team, the ability to manage time and
resources to meet assigned deadlines. <\/span>

18. Have strong
understanding of prioritization stemming from the elicitation of system and/or
user requirements. <\/span>

20. Must be
knowledgeable in the English language/speak clearly and understandably use the
