Dental Assistant

Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient information using Open Dental software.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient flow, and office inventory.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
- Support various dental specialties including general dentistry, orthodontics, and pediatric dentistry as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
- Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical imaging is essential.
- Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Open Dental is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while providing exceptional patient care.
