Principal Software Engineer
- Develops component design.
- Develops system/application architecture.
- Develops maintainable/scalable, effective, defect free source code that meets business requirements and team standards.
- Conducts unit test case development.
- Develops highly complex test scripts.
- Identify and implement appropriate continuous improvement opportunities.
- Contributes technical alternatives.
Position requires domestic (US) travel up to 10% .
Telecommuting permitted up to 60%.
Requirements:
Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology or related field and 10 years of experience in the job offered or in a Principal Software Engineer-related occupation.
Position requires demonstrable experience with the following:
Providing technical consulting on complex to highly complex insurance pricing program projects;
Maintaining modernization efforts;
Leading projects or subprojects of medium to high technical complexity and responsible for directing and monitoring the work of team members;
System analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation in insurance pricing program projects;
Conducting quality assurance review;
Providing coaching, mentoring and guidance to the team.
Position requires domestic (US) travel up to 10%.
Telecommuting permitted up to 60%.
