JOB TITLE: Logistics Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Inventory Team Leader

SUMMARY: Performs various types of packing and shipping of products in accordance with established procedures and commercial standards; receives and stocks incoming equipment, materials, supplies and prepares shipments. The secondary duty is to assist inventory with processing inventory orders, receiving of incoming packages, cycle counting, physically moving product within the inventory room or to the production floor.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Processes, prepares and schedules all outbound UPS, FedEx, DHL packages, and domestic freight shipments.
- Audits each shipment prior to packing to ensure that items match customer orders with support and assistance from the customer service team.
- Packs and labels products based on established standards.
- Assists in processing all receiving transactions and paperwork.
- Inspects all incoming freight for damage; follows-up with purchasing to resolve any damaged freight issues.
- Assists in maintaining material inventory accuracy.
- Assists with tracking of missing shipments.
- Assists in maintaining safety and housekeeping standards in shipping area.
- Performs required administrative tasks; prepares all required reports and correspondence.
- Manages part orders throughout the order fulfillment and transportation cycle to make sure we meet established deadlines.
- Continually reviews packaging supplies and works with purchasing to maintain proper inventory levels and cost.
- Assisting the Inventory team with cycle counting
- Physically unload and load trucks and place items within their proper place in the inventory room or warehouse.
- Kitting inventory list for machines and sub-assembly kits
- Replenishes merchandise on shelves from storeroom stock; rotates merchandise and keeps it orderly and neat in appearance.
- Customer service with internal and external customers.
- Assists internal customers in locating needed inventory or supplies.
- Trains and assists as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- One to two years related experience or equivalent.
- Familiarity with domestic/international shipping practices and handling methods.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing
priorities with enthusiasm.
- Attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Proficient with UPS shipping software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong people skills.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- The ability to read and understand work orders.
- The ability to utilize a handheld scanner to recognize bar codes.
- Ability to operate a forklift.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
- Frequently required to walk, sit, balance, bend, kneel and use rolling ladder.
- Frequently required to lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds.
- Occasional exposure to hot or chilly weather while moving freight.
- Frequently working near moving machinery.
- Frequently required to operate Forklifts and pallet jacks.
