Accounting Specialist

Community Employment Services – Full Time Position

Duties

Collect and enter data into assigned data systems; verify accuracy of data in preparation for billing; prepare and submit electronic and paper billings as needed for payers; record payments from payer sources; review denials from payers and prepare re-billing as necessary; complete month-end balancing and reporting. Work collaboratively with the Employment Services Department and OOD/DoDD to ensure timely collections and accurate billing authorizations are in place. Provide back-up for other administrative positions as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and 3-5 years of accounting and/or billing experience are required; Associate’s degree in a related field is preferred. Experience with OOD/DoDD would be a plus! Must have excellent telephone etiquette and have high level of skills in Microsoft Excel. Above-average computer skills are required (data entry, spreadsheets, word processing, etc.). Must have a positive attitude, be a team player and be willing to learn.
