Built Differently. Owned Together.
FORJAK Industrial isn't your typical construction and coatings company, and we're not looking for a typical Restoration Foreman.
Founded in 2001 in Circleville, Ohio, FORJAK was built on a simple belief: the people doing the work should share in the success. That's why in 2022, we became an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) company. When FORJAK wins, you win literally.
We live by four values we call FIRE: Family · Integrity · Resilience · Excellence
FIRE represents the spirit that fuels FOR JAK—who we are, how we work and what we stand for every day.
The Role
The Restoration Foreman is a part of our Field Division. You'll be responsible for leading a crew of restoration technicians across the country, overseeing concrete restoration, construction, demolition, coatings, and heavy equipment operations on a wide variety of project types and environments. You're a natural leader who thrives on the road, leads from the front, and takes pride in delivering quality work on every project.
This isn't a clock-in, clock-out job. This is a career with a company that has your back, and proof of that is written into our ownership structure.
What You'll Own
On a given day, as a Restoration Foreman, you will:
- Travel nationwide approximately 95% of the time; 5-to-10 day trips with overnight stays are the standard for this role. FORJAK covers all lodging, fuel, and meals after the first meal of travel.
- Lead a crew of 4–5 restoration technicians, providing direction, guidance, and support throughout each project's lifecycle to keep the team safe, productive, and on schedule.
- Execute interior and exterior construction projects, including concrete restoration, floor repairs and coatings, structural repairs, and miscellaneous construction work on various surfaces and environments.
- Oversee partial and full depth concrete demolition operations, ensuring work is performed safely and in accordance with project specifications and FORJAK's quality standards.
- Direct small, medium, and large concrete placement projects, including slabs, sidewalks, and approaches with steel trowel, edging, jointing, and broom finishes.
- Perform and supervise excavation and trenching operations in compliance with OSHA safety requirements and project plans.
- Restore concrete surfaces by overseeing and performing spall repair, crack repair, epoxy injections, shotcrete applications, and other proven techniques; install rebar and other strengthening measures as needed.
- Prep and coat concrete and steel surfaces through pressure washing, contaminant removal, wet/dry cutting, grinding, media blasting, and application of industrial coating systems.
- Operate small, medium, and large equipment, including excavators, skid steers, front-end loaders, forklifts, scissor lifts, and telehandlers safely and proficiently.
- Collaborate with the superintendent to develop work plans, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on the job site, ensuring clear communication of project objectives, progress, and any issues that arise.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, track material usage, and document project progress to ensure full transparency with superintendents and clients.
- Adhere to all company safety and work policies.
- Remain flexible, taking on miscellaneous duties as assigned by leadership to support evolving organizational needs.
Do You Have What It Takes?
We're not just filling a seat. We're adding someone to a team of owners.
You must bring:
- Valid Driver's License and auto insurance are required for this travel-intensive role.
- Previous experience as a Restoration Foreman or in a similar leadership role within concrete restoration, structural repair, or construction.
- In-depth knowledge of concrete materials, repair techniques, pouring, finishing, coatings, and media blasting processes.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities to manage a crew and ensure project goals are met with a focus on teamwork and efficiency.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and project documentation simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to quality assurance and reporting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in physically demanding conditions, including awkward postures.
- Willingness to travel 95% of the time and work day and night shift hours, averaging 10–12 hours per day.
- A team-first attitude — ego doesn't build great things; people do.
Even better if you have:
- Experience operating larger equipment, including excavators, skid steers, telehandlers, wheel loaders, and forklifts.
- Familiarity with epoxy, polyurethane, and other industrial-grade coatings applied to concrete and steel surfaces.
- Experience with partial- or full-depth concrete demolition, excavation, or trenching operations.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
How You'll Know You're Winning
Great FORJAK team members don't just complete tasks; they move the needle.
You're winning when:
- Your crew is safe, on schedule, and delivering quality work on every project.
- Reports are accurate, clients are informed, and nothing surprises the superintendent.
- You lead from the front—your crew trusts you and your clients respect you.
- You're trusted, consistent, and people want to work alongside you.
- You're growing in skills, in responsibility, and as a co-owner of this company.
- You bring FIRE to everything you do.
