Industrial Maintenance Mechanic — Forge & Heat‑Treat Systems

It’s late, the lines are humming, and you’re the go-to expert keeping forging presses, furnaces, CNC saws, and finishing equipment running safely and smoothly. As our Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll blend mechanical and electrical know-how to keep production moving and people safe.

What you’ll own

• Ensure facilities and production equipment are maintained and in safe, reliable condition.
• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on a range of assets: mechanical and hydraulic forging presses (up to 2500T), combustion furnaces, CNC saws, shot blast units, and supporting auxiliary systems.
• Execute preventive maintenance according to established schedules and procedures.
• Document PMs, repairs, part usage, and project work with accuracy and timeliness.
• Communicate and log daily breakdowns and planned repair activities to keep the team aligned.
• Diagnose complex mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and resolve the root cause.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems, including servo and drive systems.
• Enter data into the maintenance system quickly and accurately.
• Carry out other duties as assigned to support safe, efficient operations.

Your toolkit

• 2–3 years of experience in machine repair and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical drive systems.
• Basic mechanical, welding, and cutting capabilities.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints/schematics.
• Solid problem-solving skills and basic computer proficiency.
• Competent meter usage and precise measurement skills.
• Clear understanding of LOTO and consistent commitment to safe work practices.

Where you’ll work and when

• Location: On site at our Columbus facility.
• Physical demand: May be required to lift moderately heavy automotive components up to 15 pounds.
• Schedules available: Third Shift S–Th 11:00 PM – 7:15 AM; Weekend Shift B F–S 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM. Some overtime or weekends may be necessary.
