THE OPPORTUNITY
As the Analyst, Financial Reporting and Accounting, you will serve as a key contributor on the controllership team with a primary focus on lease accounting within the monthly and quarterly close process. You will also support reporting processes to deliver timely, accurate, financial statements and disclosures. In addition, you will contribute to the strengthening of internal controls and support process improvements that streamline workflows, automate and standardize reporting, shorten close timelines, and reduce risk. You will champion a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
WHAT YOU'LL DO

Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close, ensuring accuracy, US GAAP compliance, and audit-ready support.

Support accounting processing related to lease agreements such as new store possessions, tenant improvements, lease modifications and terminations.

Perform account reconciliations, including resolution of variances and proper documentation.

Support the preparation of both internal and external financial statements in a timely and accurate manner.

Support the upkeep of documentation related to accounting and financial reporting processes, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements, and supporting both internal and external audit requests.

Explore opportunities for leveraging technology, process automation, and data visualization integration to enhance overall operational effectiveness.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
-
Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Accounting or Finance from 4-year college or university preferred.

CPA (or actively pursuing a CPA) preferred.

1+ years of experience in accounting/financial reporting experience required, public accounting and/or corporate accounting in multi-unit retail/restaurant environment preferred.

Foundational knowledge of US GAAP; familiarity with lease accounting preferred.

Strong attention to detail and organization skills.

Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate variances and reconcile accounts.

Effective written and verbal communication with the ability to collaborate effectively and professionally with cross-functional partners.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet close deadlines

A mindset that is positive, curious, eager to learn, and coachable.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
PAY TRANSPARENCY
A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $59,000.00-$80,000.00. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
