Description

As an Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer here at Honeywell you will leverage your expertise to design and develop innovative mechanical systems that meet the needs of our customers while adhering to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and youll work out of our Mason OH location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role you will impact the development of cutting-edge technologies that enhance performance and reliability in various applications contributing to the success of our projects and the satisfaction of our clients.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and develop advanced mechanical systems and components ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Conduct detailed analysis and simulations to validate design performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with electrical and software components.
  • Lead and mentor multiple designs through ownership and accountability.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and delegate as appropriate to deliver successful outcomes.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science technology engineering mathematics.
  • 5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and design methodologies.
  • Proficiency in CAD software specifically SolidWorks and AutoCAD for creating and modifying detailed designs.
  • Experience with simulation tools for stress analysis and thermal analysis to validate designs.
  • Experience with engineering analysis tools and methodologies including FEA and GD&T.
