EHS Manager
Job Title: Safety Manager
Location: Pataskala, OH and Frazeysburg, OH
Salary: Negotiable; Based upon experience
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
We’re looking for a hands-on Safety Manager to play a key role in shaping safety culture across our growing manufacturing facilities. This is a high-visibility role where you’ll partner directly with leadership, work closely with employees on the production floor, and drive initiatives that make a measurable difference in how work gets done safely every day.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include the following:· Lead and execute safety strategies across three manufacturing locations
· Drive a proactive, behavior-based safety culture by partnering with leadership to integrate safety into daily operations
· Serve as a trusted safety resource across all departments
· Conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations
· Develop and deliver safety training programs
· Ensure OSHA & EPA compliance, reporting, and recordkeeping
· Manage hazard communication programs, including SDS and chemical safety
· Develop and maintain safety policies, procedures, and documentation
· Monitor workers’ compensation claims and return-to-work programs
· Lead emergency preparedness efforts and serve as a first responder
· Spend significant time on the production floor engaging employees and identifying improvement opportunities
Minimum Qualifications
· B.S. in Environmental / Occupational Health and Safety, or related field (or equivalent experience)
· 5+ years of safety experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments developing safety programs, training, and procedures
· Strong working knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Standards for General Industry
· Strong working knowledge of environmental compliance regulations, (EPA) required permits, recordkeeping, and reporting.
· Excellent communication and leadership skills
· CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
· Self-motivated, hands-on, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
