Job Overview

Responsible for analyzing project requirements, preparing cost estimates, and ensuring accurate pricing for heat-treating equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of data analysis, retrieval and spreadsheet work. Knowledge of heat-treat processes, materials, and industry standards are a plus.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher preferred. Will consider equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in estimating.
• Knowledge of heat-treat processes, materials, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to gather necessary information for estimating.
• Calculate labor, material, and equipment costs for heat-treating projects.
• Prepare and present detailed cost proposals to clients.
• Monitor and update cost estimates based on project changes and market conditions.
• Maintain records of estimated and actual costs for future reference.
• Assist in developing pricing strategies and optimizing cost-efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure clarity and accuracy in estimates.
