Centerless Grinding Machinist - 2 Needed - First/Second Shifts - NW

We have an immediate need for Grinding Machinists who will be responsible for setting up and operating Centerless Grinding Machines used for grinding the outside diameters of metal parts. Openings available for both first and second shifts.

Job Duties:

• Monitor machine operations to determine whether adjustments are necessary and stop machine when problems occur
• Set-up and operate Centerless Grinders to grind metal work pieces, place them in boxes or on racks, and set aside pieces that are defective
• Select and mount grinding wheels on machines, according to specifications, using hand tools and knowledge of abrasives and grinding procedures
• Perform basic maintenance, such as cleaning and lubricating machine parts
• Remove and replace worn or broken machine parts, using hand tools
• Computes numbers, widths, and angles of cutting tools, micrometers, scales, and gauges and adjust tools to produce specified cuts

Job Requirements:

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Must have excellent mechanical skills with the ability to work with precision and accuracy
• Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, along with a good understanding of math and measurements
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment under pressure
• Must have excellent communication and people skills
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds
• Must be comfortable wearing eye and hearing protection while on the manufacturing floor, safety-toed shoes are highly recommended
• Must adhere to all safety procedures and regulations
• Must have a solid work history and be punctuality and commitment to assigned shifts
