Industrial Metal Fabricator (MIG/TIG) – Work-Truck Components

Core responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
• Weld aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron, and other alloys (individually or combined)
• Follow safety procedures without compromise
• Inspect workpieces for defects; confirm dimensions using straightedges/templates
• Read instructions, blueprints, and work orders; plan tooling, materials, and steps
• Cut, burn, fit, and weld to fabricate equipment and assemblies
• Repair components using appropriate welding processes and equipment
• Surface prep, assembly, and tack welds prior to final welding
• Use burning equipment to dismantle assemblies and cut material to size/shape
• Perform related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• GED or High School diploma required; welding trade/tech certificate preferred
• Wire-feed welding proficiency and solid welding fundamentals
• Steel and aluminum experience preferred
• Mechanical aptitude; familiarity with hydraulics
• Blueprint reading proficiency

Physical & workplace expectations

• Stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
• Move safely around machinery and powered industrial equipment
• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Operate power tools and vibrating equipment
• Work on site to support manufacturing needs

Selection process

Candidates complete a written and hands-on welding test before any offer. Those who show skill, a positive attitude, and strong aptitude may be offered a direct position.
