Position Overview
Magnolia Dental at Chillicothe is looking for a skilled and dependable Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. We are especially interested in candidates who bring proven experience and a strong clinical background to support our dentists in delivering high-quality care. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, confident in their skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

• Monday 9-5

• Tuesday 9-6

• Wednesday 9-5

• Thursday 8:30-4

• Fridays 8:30-4

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for dental procedures, ensuring their comfort and addressing any questions or concerns.

• Provide skilled chairside assistance during procedures, anticipating dentist and patient needs.

• Take and process dental X-rays as directed.

• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.

• Accurately manage patient records and treatment documentation.

• Educate patients on post-procedure care, oral hygiene, and preventative practices.

• Monitor and manage supplies in treatment rooms.

• Support front office tasks as needed (scheduling, insurance verification, etc.).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Completion of a Dental Assistant program or relevant certification required.

• Current radiology certification for the state of Ohio (required).

• 2+ years of chairside dental assisting experience preferred.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and the dental team.

• Ability to anticipate needs, work independently, and contribute to a team-driven environment.

• Experience with dental software and advanced technologies is a plus.
