- Lead and support various phases of data center projects, with a primary focus on preconstruction activities such as budgeting, cost estimating, value engineering, and constructability analysis.
- Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates based on conceptual layouts, schematic designs, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure project estimates are complete, competitive, and aligned with scope.
- Review design documents to identify cost risks, opportunities for savings, and overall project efficiencies.
- Deliver cost proposals, budget breakdowns, and value engineering suggestions to clients and key stakeholders.
- Participate in team meetings and support the project team throughout all stages of preconstruction.
- Stay informed on current industry pricing, construction trends, and market conditions.
- Help improve and maintain standardized preconstruction procedures, tools, and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 7–10 years of estimating experience, preferably on data center or mission-critical projects.
- Skilled in construction estimating software (such as RSMeans, Timberline, or WinEst) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
- Clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with clients, consultants, and project teams.
- Able to handle multiple projects and competing priorities effectively.
- Familiarity with sustainable construction methods and LEED credentials is a plus.
