Seasonal Grounds & Snow Operations Lead

As a Plant Care/Bed Maintenance Crew lead, you will play a key role in the care and enhancement of our commercial clients grounds, ensuring that mulch beds and green spaces are vibrant, safe, and welcoming for all visitors. Responsibilities

• Perform landscape maintenance, including planting, pruning, weeding, watering, deadheading, mulching, soil amendment, and removal of invasive species.
• Safely operate and maintain a range of mechanical equipment such as bed edgers, commercial mowers, blowers, dump trailers, chainsaws, line trimmers, snow blowers, and plow trucks.
• Apply herbicides and other chemical treatments in accordance with safety and environmental guidelines.
• Mix and handle chemicals following company protocols and regulatory standards.
• Drive company vehicle between work assignments
• Assist with routine equipment maintenance and minor repairs.
• Shape and trim hedges, shrubs, and small trees to promote plant health and maintain landscape aesthetics.
• Perform site cleanup tasks, including raking leaves, removing dead plants, and clearing debris from work areas.
• Operate plow trucks or salt trucks during winter months to ensure safe and accessible grounds.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions throughout the year.

Qualifications

• Must Be 24 Years of age or Older
• Experience in herbicide application is preferred; training is available for motivated candidates.
• Ability to obtain or currently hold a pesticide applicator license (company support available for certification).
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing 50 lbs or more.
• Willingness to undergo a drug screen and background check
