Radiation Therapist Job Details

• Location: Mansfield, Ohio (44906) – Prime location for Ohio healthcare jobs with a friendly community and abundant amenities.
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital
• Employment Type: Locum tenens (travel contract for radiation therapists)
• Start Date: November 3, 2025
• End Date: February 2, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (08:00 - 16:00), 40 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,370–$2,430 per week
• Orientation: 16 hours
• COVID-19 & Flu Vaccines: Required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Floating: Ability to float to Ontario, Bucyrus, and Galion campuses as needed

Radiation Therapist Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent, continuous experience as a radiation therapist (5 years preferred)
• Valid Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Radiation Therapist License (no pending licenses)
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Experience operating Linear Accelerator – Varian TrueBeam required
• CT SIM Biograph mCT experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Prior travel healthcare experience required
• Ability to work in a smoke-free healthcare facility

Radiation Therapist Responsibilities

• Administer radiation therapy treatments to oncology patients and those with other diseases
• Ensure precise patient positioning and safe, accurate delivery of radiation treatments
• Educate patients on treatment plans, procedures, and potential side effects
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and side effects during and after therapy
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care
• Float to multiple hospital campuses as needed to support clinical operations
