National TAB, L.L.C. is pleased to offer a position as an AutoCAD & Product Support Specialist with an opportunity for growth. The position allows the applicant to challenge their skills and real-world experience by participating in site meetings and conducting surveys, leading post contract project milestone communication, creating specialty details in AutoCAD and submitting permit drawings to the city for HVAC & KVS (kitchen ventilation) mechanical systems.

Previous Experience:

Previous experience in coordination of milestones with multiple internal and external companies is beneficial but not required so long as the applicant is detail-orientated, able to work independently in an office environment, and has great organizational and communication skills .

Previous experience in AutoCAD is a requirement for this position.

Responsibilities:

AutoCAD and Permitting

• Operate computer-aided drafting (CAD) with ease to produce CaptiveAire product drawings. In addition, know and understand CaptiveAire’s software system. Must possess the ability to input design parameters to generate AutoCAD drawings with little or no supervision. Also, assist with data entry of quotes to be generated by the sales/design team.

• Work with NTi product engineers, clients, and external design teams to collect mechanical, electrical, structural, and building information via site visits or external plan drawings to provide drawings, layout, and installation drawings for install team. Submit detailed permit drawings with required code notes and specifications to city/state for permitting.

• Manage the complete installation permit process to include, but not limited to:

  • gather all documents

  • submit to local jurisdiction (AHJ)

  • fill out permit apps with supervision

  • track & follow permit status

  • guide any resubmitted per AHJ with documents

  • pick up final permits & take to site and distribute to all teammates

• Constant communication with entire team on status.

Post-Contract Project Milestone Coordination

• Become knowledgeable of our HVAC and KVS (kitchen ventilation system) product line to fluently assist customers and work with architects/engineers, construction managers, and trades to manage timelines and deadlines for installation, startup and turnover of the equipment we provide.

• Become an expert in understanding and explaining the requirements to support successful project management of the KVS service and fire final.

Required Skills

• Become an expert in understanding and explaining the requirements to support successful project management of the KVS service and fire final.

• Assist in creating, managing, and maintaining a library suite of CAD blocks used for all ventilation and installation drawings that will be utilized by future support team members.

• Ability to read blueprints of current architect plans. Also, have basic simple knowledge of Chapter 5 of the International Mechanical Code.

• Learn & utilize proprietary software(s) to build projects for regional accounts with proper inventory logic, forms, air balance schedules, and field requirements.

• Attend daily product team meetings to provide project status & to improve efficiency in flow.

• Communicate with the entire NTi team and product engineering team to support them in their endeavors and requirements to fulfill clients’ needs or support field technician engineers.
