Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Overnight Team Leader to oversee a dedicated team responsible for loading outbound trucks during night operations. The successful candidate will lead by example, ensuring that all loading activities are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication skills, and the ability to maintain high productivity and accuracy during overnight shifts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of warehouse associates during the overnight shift, ensuring all trucks are loaded accurately and on time.
• Coordinate daily workload and assign tasks based on priorities, truck schedules, and team capacity.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, proper lifting techniques, and company policies at all times.
• Monitor productivity and performance of the team, providing feedback, coaching, and support where needed.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate goals, updates, and safety reminders.
• Verify load accuracy by reviewing documentation, inspecting merchandise, and checking against shipping manifests.
• Troubleshoot issues related to loading delays, equipment malfunctions, or staffing gaps.
• Collaborate with drivers and warehouse management to ensure smooth overnight operations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• Complete shift reports and document any incidents, delays, or discrepancies.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant certifications preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of warehouse or logistics experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role.
• Experience with pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material handling equipment (certification a plus).
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable working overnight hours
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
