Salary:

$100,000 - $120,000 (Depending on experience) + comprehensive benefits package.

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee all accounting and financial operations for a well-established manufacturing company. Reporting directly to the President, this hands-on leadership role will be responsible for financial reporting, cost accounting, cash flow management, budgeting, internal controls, and continuous process improvement. The Controller will also lead a small team and serve as a strategic business partner to executive leadership.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead all accounting and finance functions, including general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, and cost accounting.
• Prepare accurate monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage company cash flow, working capital, and overall financial health.
• Oversee cost accounting, including standard costing, inventory valuation, variance analysis, labor allocation, and margin reporting.
• Partner with Operations to analyze manufacturing costs, production efficiencies, scrap, and profitability.
• Maintain accurate inventory costing, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and cost models.
• Oversee physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliations.
• Ensure ERP system accuracy, financial data integrity, and reporting reliability.
• Strengthen internal controls and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Lead and develop a small team, including Accounting/AP, Inventory, and IT personnel.
• Collaborate with Operations, Purchasing, Engineering, and Human Resources to support business objectives.
• Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to the President and executive leadership team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
• CPA is highly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience within a manufacturing environment is required.
• Strong background in cost accounting, inventory management, and manufacturing finance.
• Previous experience managing and developing direct reports.
• Experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing setting.
• Thorough understanding of GAAP and internal financial controls.
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
