About the Role:

The primary responsibility of the Kalmbach Nutritional Services (KNS) is the formulation and optimization of swine and/or poultry diets and feeding programs for both KNS and its customers. In this role, you will have the opportunity to communicate directly with customers, nutritionists, and sales representatives, providing personalized nutritional support. The ideal candidate will enjoy problem-solving and have a strong interest in how nutrition affects animal growth and well-being. This is an office-based role located in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the formulation of swine and poultry diets according to nutritionists, sales force, and/or customers’ requests.
• Contribute to the management of ingredient specifications and quality formulation, pricing, and sourcing.
• Assist with forecasting ingredient needs and economic projections for KNS and its customers.
• Understanding of Kalmbach nutritional products and services.

The Right Candidate:

• Minimum of a B.S. with experience or Master of Science in Animal or Poultry Sciences with a focus on nutrition (Swine emphasis desired)
• Experience with computers and familiar with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software programs. Formulation software experience is preferred.
• Demonstrate excellent organizational, time-management, problem-solving, and communication (oral and written) skills.
• Must be detail-oriented and systematic in designing and executing short- and long-term objectives.
• Previous experience in the livestock, feed, or nutrition industries is required.
