Wheelersburg Animal Hospital is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team!

This is an excellent opportunity for outgoing technicians who want to fully utilize their education and expertise while making meaningful connections with clients and their pets.

In this role, you will:

• Provide excellent patient care during surgical and dental procedures - including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and dental cleanings and radiographs.

• Ensure efficient exam room workflow and outstanding client communication.

• Review treatment plans, provide discharge instructions, and address client questions with empathy and clarity.

• Collaborate with your team to support the veterinarian’s orders during outpatient visits, ensuring the highest level of patient care.

This position is ideal for detail-oriented technicians who are passionate about exceptional patient and client care, and ready to work at the top of their license in a supportive, team-focused environment.

This is a full-time, or part-time position, with a 4-10s schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday, with rotating Saturdays.

• Compensation: $17-22 per hour, for each hour worked*

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

• 1+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
• Current Veterinary Technician License in the state of Ohio

Wheelersburg Animal Hospital is a multi-doctor, small animal practice located in southern Ohio, near the Kentucky border. We’ve proudly served Wheelersburg, OH, and the surrounding areas of Portsmouth, Ironton, and Greenup, KY, for years. Our DVM team has nearly 65 years of combined experience and we have a talented support team, including 5 RVTs! From wellness exams and vaccines to advanced diagnostics, internal medicine, and complex surgical procedures, dogs and cats receive high quality care at our hospital.
