Mobile Engineer 2

Summary

This role is for a Mobile Engineer HVAC/R responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and operating commercial HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems across assigned facilities. The engineer will handle preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, inspections, and facility upkeep while ensuring safety compliance and minimizing equipment downtime.

The position requires strong hands-on experience with:

• Commercial HVAC/R systems
• Refrigeration equipment
• 480V 3-phase electrical systems
• Building/facility maintenance
• Preventive maintenance and diagnostics
  

The role also includes:

• On-call support
• Driving between facilities
• Using CMMS tools like Corrigo
• Working in extreme hot/cold conditions
• Physical maintenance tasks including ladder work and lifting

Must be available for Call-in work and agree to being added to an On Call schedule as required by employer. On call technician must make a reasonable effort to answer calls from the call center while on call in accordance with JLL and customer direction. Other duties may be assigned as required.

Responsibilities

Maintenance & Repair

• Maintain and repair HVAC/R, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
• Repair production equipment and building systems
• Conduct facility inspections and report issues

Safety & Compliance

• Perform hazard assessments
• Follow OSHA/safety procedures
• Maintain compliance with local building codes
• Complete required safety training
• Practice defensive driving

Administrative Tasks

• Update work orders in CMMS (Corrigo preferred)
• Submit P-card receipts
• Perform vehicle safety inspections
• Escalate issues to management/customer
• Attend safety and work meetings

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in:
  • Commercial HVAC/R systems
  • Refrigeration maintenance
  • Electrical troubleshooting
  • Building/facility maintenance
• Strong experience with:
  • 480V 3-phase electrical systems (critical requirement)
  • HVAC diagnostics and repair
  • Mechanical and plumbing systems

Education

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Certifications

• Universal CFC/EPA Certification (or within 90 days)
• Valid driver's license

Technical Skills

• Commercial refrigeration maintenance
• Electrical distribution systems
• Preventive maintenance
• CMMS systems (Corrigo preferred)
• Production equipment maintenance

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 80 lbs
• Work from heights and ladders (up to 30 ft)
• Work in extreme hot/cold environments
• Frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, and overhead work
• Ability to carry tools while climbing ladders

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial refrigeration experience
• HVAC/R trade school or apprenticeship
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Knowledge of Word and Excel
• Multi-skilled maintenance background (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical)
