Responsibilities and Duties

(The following is a list of the main duties and responsibilities. It is not meant to serve as an all-inclusive list. This position is required to perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.)

• Assist in prompt customer requests, enhancing the total sales dollar by performing in the following tasks or developing quote information/ packages through identification research and compiling information


• Receives requests from a telemarketing rep or an Aftermarket Parts Manager


• Identifies parts through research including:
  
  
  
  • Bill of Material
  
  
  • Microfilm Information
  
  
  • Prints
  
  
  • SX Files
  
  
  • Contract Files
  
  
  • Spare Parts department information
  
  
  • Files
  
  
  • Purchasing
  
  
  • Engineering
  
  
  • Vax Computer System
  
  
  • Upgrade parts request by recommending complimentary or associated items
  
  


• Establishes customers pricing information based on:
  
  
  
  • Stock pricing
  
  
  • Purchased pricing
  
  
  • Burdens
  
  
  • Insurance
  
  
  • Established divisors for each of the twenty-one categories
  
  
  • Promotional prices
  
  
  • Special pricing
  
  
  • Rebuild status
  
  
  • Reseller status
  
  
  • Required engineering hours
  
  


• Returns entire package to respective telemarketing sale representative or aftermarket manager including:
  
  
  
  • Research materials (copies of bills of materials, pertinent prints, purchasing information, and engineering recommendations)
  
  


• Future responsibilities including exploring and utilizing the FoxPro system


• Entering orders on the Vax system and processing RMA’s (returned material authorizations)


• In addition, there may customer contact via phone required in the future
