Position: Accountant - Construction Equipment
Report to: Sr Accountant - Construction Equipment
Overview
The Equipment Accountant will help the Kwest Group's leadership team analyze the economic health of the organization, through accurate and timely financial reports and counsel. As a member of the Accounting team, the primary responsibilities of this position are to carry out equipment costing duties, as well as to assist with preparation of financial statements.
Responsibilities
- Equipment Invoice Entry
- Equipment Purchase Orders
- Analyze cost and make sure coded to proper categories.
- Under-Utilization Entries
- Fuel Cards
- Track, Monitor, and Maintain
- Monthly Allocations
- Track and Monitor Vehicle Allowance and Compliance
- EZ Pass Management
- Equipment Budgets
- Monitor, Respective Journal Entries
- Tracking Equipment Leases, Loans, Purchasing
- Fixed Assets
- Track and confer with Auditors.
- Depreciation
- Assist in the development of internal rates.
- IFTA Tax Tracking and Quarterly Filing
- Cost Savings Analysis & Reporting
- Track and Monitor Equipment Damage
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting, Business, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must be able to pass a background & drug test.
- Ability to travel to client meetings, conferences, and regional/divisional offices.
- Travel may include air travel and overnight hotel stays.
