Job Description

As a Production Supervisor, you will oversee the mold and bond area, primarily managing machinery such as presses. You will supervise a team of 25-40 employees, ensuring efficient operations and process improvements. Your role includes hands-on tasks like helping team members learn to deflash, inspect, and operate machines. Additionally, you will be the first line of maintenance for machine issues and responsible for daily shift reports.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the mold and bond area, overseeing machinery including presses.
• Manage a team of 25-40 employees, focusing on training and development.
• Write a report at the end of each shift.
• Assist with hands-on tasks such as deflashing, inspecting, and machine operations.
• Address machine issues as the first line of maintenance.
• Drive process improvement, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Track production metrics, reduce downtime, and minimize scrap.
• Monitor and manage timecards and attendance.

Essential Skills

• At least 2 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience in process improvement, implementation, or 5S.
• Ability to lead and supervise teams of 20 or more employees.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in automotive manufacturing.
• Familiarity with molding processes, including compression, blow, or injection.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a union facility where this position is salaried and non-union. The company manufactures automotive parts for major clients and has a current workforce of 200 employees. The facility operates multiple shifts, and supervisors are expected to be present an hour before shifts start. Day shifts run from 4a-3:30pm, night shifts from 6pm-5:30am, with Friday hours typically being 5a-1p for days and 7pm-3am for nights. The company is transitioning to a three-shift schedule by early 2026.

This is a Permanent position based out of North Baltimore, OH.

The pay range for this position is $63000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
