Job Title: General Labor - 1st shift - 17/hr

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated individuals for general labor roles within a union facility. This position involves various 'non-skilled' tasks essential to maintaining our high-quality standards in a food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Build totes to house products.
• Monitor the production line to ensure quality and prevent bottlenecks.
• Sift product in packages to ensure proper distribution.
• Clean and maintain the facility areas.
• Be trained and perform multiple 'non-skilled' roles as needed.

Essential Skills

• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Ability to consistently lift 20 lbs.
• Attention to detail.
• Capability to perform repetitive and tedious work.
• Adherence to safety and GMP guidelines, including wearing appropriate PPE such as masks, tyvek/lab coats, and steel-toed shoes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
• Ability to pass a mechanical aptitude test if considered for direct hire.

Work Environment

This is a unionized, food-based large manufacturing facility that emphasizes cleanliness and safety. Employees are required to wear specific attire, including hair nets and protective clothing, and adhere to a smoke-free policy. Available shifts include first shift (Monday to Friday, 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM) and third shift (Sunday to Thursday, 10:30 PM - 7 AM). A 30-minute unpaid lunch break is provided. The facility conducts scheduled cleaning approximately every six weeks, during which time employees may take time off and apply for unemployment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Toledo, OH.

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
