We’re partnered with a fast-growing packaging and distribution company that is scaling toward a multi-site national platform . The CEO is looking for a Vice President of Operations who wants to help build the operational backbone of the business.
This role reports directly to the CEO and will play a central role in how the company grows over the next several years.
This is not a large-company leadership role.
This is a builder role.
What You’ll Own
You will lead day-to-day operations and help build the operational structure required to scale the business.
Key areas of ownership include:
- Improving inventory management, demand planning, and working capital performance
Leading operations across warehousing, supply chain, fulfillment, and customer service
- Building the operational foundation needed to support rapid growth and future multi-site expansion
- Establishing KPIs, reporting cadence, and operational discipline across the organization
- Driving ERP / WMS improvements or implementation
- Managing supplier relationships, sourcing, and onboarding (domestic and international)
- Partnering closely with the CEO on scaling operations and integrating future acquisitions
This role requires someone who can think strategically while staying close to the work.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate brings a mix of operational leadership, problem solving, and hands-on execution.
- 7–15 years of experience in operations, supply chain, or distribution
- 3+ years of leadership experience
- Experience in a high-growth, build, or transformation environment
- Background in warehouse, distribution, or high-SKU environments
- Experience improving or implementing ERP / WMS systems
- Strong financial understanding of inventory turns, working capital, and cost control
- Comfortable leading a small team while staying actively involved in operations

This is a company that is growing quickly and building systems as it scales.
Additional Details
- Manufacturing experience is helpful but not required
- The bigger driver is someone who understands how to build and scale operations
- Relocation to the Columbus, Ohio metro area is required
