Project Engineer (Mechanical Designer)

📍 Location: Canton, OH 44706

💵 Pay: $25–$31/hr (up to $33/hr based on experience)

🕒 Schedule: Flexible

• Standard shift: (4) 10-hour days
• Options: 5x8s or 4x9s + half day
• Overtime on Fridays when required

We are seeking a Mechanical Designer (internally titled Project Engineer ) to join our growing team. This is a long-term career opportunity —we are not looking for consultants. You will work closely with shop personnel and engineering teams to interpret designs, create customer approval drawings, and manage project materials.

• Review, plan, and estimate time for projects
• Create customer approval drawings
• Layout, design, and detail CAD drawings
• Prepare requisitions for purchasing parts
• Collaborate with shop personnel to interpret engineering designs
• Develop project bills of material
• Quote drawings

• Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Design (or equivalent experience)
• 0–4+ years drafting experience, including sheet metal fabrication
• 0–2+ years in switchgear or sheet metal design and CAD

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Canton, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $31.00/hr.
