English (ESL) teacher for adults & children in Cincinnati, OH

Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are currently looking for an English (ESL) Language teacher to provide customized lessons to our clients in Cincinnati.

Job Information: We're offering two separate classes for a mom and a 12-year-old child (Ref. # 197238/197243).

• Lesson Location: Cincinnati, OH 45230 (near TriHealth Five Mile | Anderson on 7810 Five Miles Rd)
• Preferred start date: June 17th
• Relocation date: June 13th, 2026
• Current target language level: Beginner
• Language spoken at home: Italian

For mom (C197238):

• Availability: Wednesday from 4 pm to 5 pm
• Lesson Frequency: 1 x a week
• Lesson Duration: 1 hour
• Student’s language needs and goals: She would like to improve conversation skills. Topics of interest for her lessons are:

- Listening comprehension tips and strategies
- Common phrases native speakers use every day
- Practicing real conversations with native speakers

• Additional information: She is a gym trainer. Her favorite sport is swimming.

For child (C197243):

• Availability: Monday to Friday at 3 pm
• Lesson Frequency: 5 x a week
• Lesson Duration: 1 hour
• Student’s language needs and goals: She will be starting 7th grade next school year and is a beginner in the language. Her parents would like the lessons to focus on preparing her to adapt confidently to school, both academically and socially. They hope she can make the most of the summer by immersing herself in the language as much as possible, helping her feel more comfortable and prepared before the school year begins.
• They are looking for lessons that offer the right balance between fun and learning, combining structure with a play-based approach. They would like sessions to include real-life situations and cultural elements, creating an engaging and meaningful learning experience. Overall, the lessons should be structured, interactive, fun, and creative, ensuring she feels supported, confident expressing herself, open to making friends, and excited to experience a new culture.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
• Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes
• Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals
• Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

Qualifications:

• Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language
• Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second language acquisition, or related field
• Minimum of two years of teaching experience
