Laundry Attendant - 2nd Shift
Laundry Attendant - Evening Shift. 4-5 days/week. 6-8 hours/day. Weekends and Holidays required.
Overview
Join our team as a Laundry Attendant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional cleanliness and comfort to our guests. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling laundry operations, ensuring all linen and towels are impeccably cleaned, pressed, and ready for use. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will help maintain the highest standards of hygiene and presentation across our facility.
Duties
- Operate laundry machines such as washers, dryers, and specialty equipment to process linens and towels efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by regularly cleaning machines, work surfaces, and storage spaces.
- Inspect all items for stains, tears or damages; report or set aside items needing special attention or repair.
- Gather and deliver linens and towels at various Amish Country Lodging Properties for cleaning.
- Follow safety protocols related to chemical handling and equipment operation to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies such as detergents, cleaning agents, and linen stock levels.
- Attend to guest needs, as required, occasionally running supplies to units, and handling basic customer service needs.
Skills
- Experience in laundry operations or housekeeping is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of laundry techniques including washing, drying and folding.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure all items meet cleanliness standards without damage.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality standards.
- Good physical stamina for standing long hours, lifting heavy loads - up to 50 pounds, and performing repetitive tasks.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
