Job Title: Quality Technician
Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Quality Technician where you will support manufacturing operations by performing inspections, testing, and documentation to ensure all aerospace components meet internal specifications and customer/industry standards, such as AS9100 and ISO 9001. This role is on the 2nd shift from 3:30 PM to 11:00 PM, offering a 15% shift differential.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-process, first-article, and final inspections on aerospace components using precision measurement tools.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Conduct dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs, and other metrology equipment.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records in accordance with AS9100 requirements.
- Identify nonconforming material and support the Material Review Board (MRB) process.
- Assist with root-cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
- Conduct visual inspections following aerospace standards, focusing on surface finish, defects, and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention.
- Participate in internal audits, process verifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality concerns effectively.
- Support calibration efforts for measurement devices.
- Follow all safety, compliance, and company policies.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T.
- Experience with measurement tools.
- Experience in Aerospace, Defense, or Precision Manufacturing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- CMM experience.
- Experience with basic and advanced metrology tools such as Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), Optical Comparators, and 3D Scanners & CT Scanners.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 lbs.
- Manual dexterity to handle delicate parts and inspection equipment.
- Good vision for close inspection work (with or without corrective lenses).
- Comfortable working around aerospace machining, fabrication, or assembly environments.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blue Ash, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
