Reports to: VP of InstitutionalAdvancement

Location: Remote within the continental US. Office will be within driving distanceto any campus.

Compensation: Antioch University offers a competitive compensation and benefitspackage that includes both direct and indirect pay. The compensation will be based on experience, education, knowledge, credentials, and aconsideration of the difficulty and complexity of the position. The salary range for this position is $105,000.00 - $125,000.00.

Position Summary

The Director for Advancement Operations and Strategic Engagement will bean experienced leader in academic institutional advancement that will add to the professionalism and capacity of the existing team. TheDirector will work closely with the VP of Institutional Advancement to expand and implement strategy to grow the revenue at AntiochUniversity, increase engagement opportunities with alumni and friends of the University, support the creation and management of affinitygroups/societies, clarify external messaging, analyze data for trends, and assist in the implementation of systems and tools to increaseefficiency and efficacy. In time, this role will be a critical in the establishment of an Institutional Advancement Shared ServicesOrganization with the Coalition for the Common Good (CCG).

Essential Duties andResponsibilities

Expand Team Capacity (80%)

  • Develop and Monitor KPIs:Collaborate with the database manager to establish and track key performance indicators
  • Leverage Predictive Analytics: Use datainsights and AI to drive annual giving growth and support the major gift pipeline in partnership with the philanthropy officers
  • Enhance Donor and Alumni Engagement: Support donor societies and alumni engagement through events, groups, strategic stewardship, and othercreative activities
  • Implement Multi-Channel Communication Strategy: Design and execute a layered communication plan that enhancesalumni and donor engagement and elevates the perceived value of AU and the CCG
  • Identify and Support New Grant Opportunities:Partner with the grants manager to surface grant-worthy and grant-ready projects within AU and the CCG
  • Contribute to StrategicPlanning: Participate in the development and refinement of long-term engagement and fundraising strategies
  • Manage Program Budgets:Oversee budgets related to alumni engagement, stewardship, and joint initiatives, ensuring cost-effective use of resources
  • Government/Foundation Relations: partner with the VPIA, Grant Manager, and philanthropy officers to monitor opportunities and changes in state, national, and agency priorities to position AU and the CCG for support

Support EmergingNeeds (20%)

  • Prepare for IA-SSO implementation: consistently keep the future SSO in mind when evaluating and creatingsystems that could support or hinder long-term success, and pursue collaborative projects that enhance alumni services and engagement (e.g.,a joint, world-class career center for students and alumni)
  • Adapt to Evolving Priorities: Respond to shifting team needs as newinformation and opportunities arise
  • Other duties as assigned: Contribute to various initiatives as assigned to support team growthand strategic goals

Ability and willingness to travel to meet alumni and prospects where theyare.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred, with 5years of development, prospect management, and/or grants experience.
  • Experience with major functional areas of advancement,including, but not limited to: solicitations (small and major), alumni and donor engagement, grants, and project management
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) skills
  • Ability to collect, interpret, and apply insights from data
  • Trackrecord of successful team development and project leadership

Hours of Employment

This is a full-time position serving a national university. A work schedule will be established in consultation with the supervisor.

Work Location

Remote within the continental US, driving distance to any campus. Ability andwillingness to travel to meet alumni and prospects where they are.
