Job Duties
- Facility Cleaning - Perform daily cleaning services for the market including overall sales floor, market office, break room, customer service areas, back of house operations, restrooms and outdoor areas. Dust and clean market areas. Sweep, mop, strip, wax, and buff vinyl or tile floors. Vacuum facility carpets. Clean windows and wash walls. Empty trash and recycle bins throughout market areas. Clean light fixtures. Run compactor for cardboard recycling.
- Maintenance Coordination and Cleaning - Ensure overall facility is kept up and report any major issues to the company maintenance department and market management. Monitor and maintain all cleaning and toiletry supplies for the facility. Identify deep cleaning projects. Report any maintenance issues to market management.
- Safety - Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines while cleaning the market. Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions, accidents, or issues and notify store management. Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify appropriate management of any items in need of repair. Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
- Stocking - Assist store clerks with various duties including but not limited to bagging groceries, helping customers to the car, stocking and picking grocery items and general operation during peak hours.
- Miscellaneous - Report all issues to management. Look for ways to improve processes and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Less than 2 years related experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years old
- Per 8-hour shift. Stand 2 hours, walk 6 hours. Sit 0 hours. Frequently bend/stoop/twist, squat, push/pull, occasionally crawl/kneel, reach above shoulder level, reach below knee level, balance, infrequently work with arms outstretched and work above chest level. Frequent lifting and carrying (frequently from 0-24lbs occasionally from 25 to 50lbs). Must be able to see and do simple and firm grasping with both hands. Must be able to work in environments that include exposure to loud noises occasionally, outdoor/indoor temperatures, detergents, fumes, vibrations, dust, solvents and oil. Required to have visual acuity to perform an activities such as heavy equipment, determine the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned such as custodial, food services, general labor, etc. Occasional use of office equipment (copiers, printers, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in commercial, food service or retail cleaning.
- Good communication, organizational and basic computer skills.

Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation is commensurate with experience. Benefits are not applicable to part-time positions.
