Robert Half Management Resources is currently looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant or Accounting Manager to provide interim accounting support to a Manufacturing client in Lexington, Ohio for 3+ months. This role will provide critical accounting support during a period of transition, working closely with the Controller to maintain accurate financial operations and timely reporting. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on expertise in payroll, accruals, intercompany activity, and accounts payable oversight. Role is based 100% onsite at the client's location in Lexington, OH. Duration is expected to last roughly three months, but there are opportunities for extensions or potential conversion.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full payroll cycle to ensure employees are paid accurately and on schedule.

• Prepare, review, and maintain payroll-related accruals and other month-end accounting entries.

• Record and reconcile intercompany accruals and related transactions across entities.

• Monitor accounts payable invoice activity and help keep invoice processing current and accurate.

• Support month-end close activities by analyzing balances, posting journal entries, and resolving discrepancies.

• Partner directly with the Controller to provide accounting coverage and maintain continuity within the department.

• Review financial data for accuracy and completeness while helping strengthen day-to-day accounting controls.

• At least 5 years of accounting experience, including work in a senior-level accounting capacity.

• Demonstrated experience managing payroll accounting and related accrual processes.

• Strong knowledge of accrual accounting, including monthly and expense accruals.

• Hands-on experience with intercompany accounting and reconciliation activities.

• Familiarity with accounts payable processes and invoice tracking responsibilities.

• Ability to work onsite five days per week in Lexington, Ohio.

• Manufacturing industry experience is a plus
