Our hybrid work environment combines the best of both worlds with at least three (3) days in office and up to two (2) days virtual for employees who live within fifty (50) miles of a Farmers corporate office. About The Role...

  • Responsible for managing all aspects of their product within assigned geographic territory, generally four to six mid size states.
  • Assesses profitability, growth, competitors, strategies, and initiates changes to the product or rating approach in the territory in order to maximize Farmers’ opportunities.


What You'll Accomplish...

  • Responsible for profits/losses in assigned product/territory. Develops long and short-term plans for their assigned product/territory with corresponding State Executives.
  • Directs development of pricing and contract changes for product.
  • Manages the analysis and research performed in the development of their product and its alignment others.
  • Works with IT to develop requirements for system enhancements.
  • Communicates with regulators on complex filing issues.
  • Develops and recommends operations, service, claims, and market standards.
  • Stays abreast of industry developments.
  • Negotiates and sets priorities to align product goals with the State Executives’ goals.
  • Recruits, trains and develops product analysts Coordinates state and home office legislative and regulatory affairs providing input on key bills and regulation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Physical actions...

  • This role, whether performed virtually or in an office setting, will include normal and customary distractions, noise, and interruptions.
  • Sits or stands for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift.
  • Occasionally reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Occasionally moves, lifts, carries, and places objects and supplies weighing 0-10 pounds without assistance.
  • Listens to, interprets, and differentiates auditory information (example others speaking) at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
  • Visually verifies and reads information.
  • Visually locates material, resources and other objects.
  • Ability to continuously operate a computer for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift.
  • Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate keyboard and other office equipment up to a full work shift.


Physical environment...

Required job duties are normally performed in a climate- controlled office environment.

Education needed...

  • Bachelors degree required preferably in mathematical or statistical field.
  • Graduate degree preferred.


Experience Needed...

  • 5 years experience in State Product Management experience required
  • North Carolina State Product Management experience preferred.
