Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Machine Design Engineer to join a dynamic team specializing in designing and manufacturing industrial automated equipment. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects and develop expertise in machine design.
Responsibilities

Utilize Solidworks to create 3D models/renderings for automated equipment or processes.

Design safe and cost-effective machine concepts, parts models, and assemblies based on customer requirements.

Detail parts and assembly drawings/tolerances and release them to manufacturing.

Research and order components for machine design, including pneumatic cylinders, valves, air prep systems, bearings, motors, drive systems, sensors, and other devices used in automated machinery.

Document bills of material.

Create fabrication drawings.
Essential Skills
-
2+ years of machine design experience, with a strong preference for industrial automation.

Proficient in Solidworks design.

Hands-on experience with tooling, machining, or fabrication.

Experience designing automated equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
-
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.

Experience with Autodesk Inventor and project management.

Jig, fixture, and tooling design experience.
Work Environment
The role is primarily based in an office environment with occasional interactions on the shop floor. Employees have the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects every week, contributing to turnkey solutions and enhancing their design skills to become subject matter experts.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lewis Center, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.
