OBGYN RN Job Details – Columbus, Ohio

• Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Ohio nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Maternal Special Care Unit (CC99068)
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: January 5, 2026
• Contract Duration: 17 weeks
• Shifts: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:30), every other weekend and holiday rotation
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,050 – $2,100
• Patient Ratio: 1:3
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Floating: Required within the healthcare organization

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent OBGYN or maternal special care nursing experience
• Active RN license (compact or Ohio state RN license required at submission)
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring
• Proficient in Epic electronic health record (EHR) charting system
• Strong skills in dysrhythmia interpretation
• Ability to float to other clinical units as needed
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Two professional references required (one from a manager/director or charge RN)

OBGYN RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to antepartum and postpartum patients, including those with telemetry, continuous pulse oximetry, postpartum magnesium, and PP IUFD
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Administer medications and therapies, including magnesium sulfate and blood products
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and cesarean sections
• Interpret fetal heart rate patterns and perform non-stress tests (NST)
• Provide breastfeeding and lactation support to new mothers
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the perinatal experience
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services
• Maintain compliance with infection control and safety protocols
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled
