Location: Columbus, OH | Schedule: Tues–Fri (Hybrid) | Salary: $45-$50K

We’re searching for a visionary Marketing Coordinator to fuel our mission: Engage the world around us, enrich the community amongst us, and entertain those in front of us. This is a high-impact role that brings patrons and organizations into our theatre, keeping our art alive and our organization thriving—fueling performances, supporting our ensemble, and creating opportunities for everyone.
In this role, you’ll:
● Support the promotion of performances, events, and programs by coordinating day-to-day marketing activities. This role works closely with staff across the organization, as well as external partners, to gather content, manage timelines, and assist with campaigns that connect audiences to the organization’s work.
● Oversee the internal social media team to capture and create content in line with brand goals and needs.

What You’ll Do
● Lead, create and execute the promotional activities for Shadowbox Live, the nation’s largest resident theatre ensemble.
● Collaborate with artistic, production, and administrative staff to collect photos, videos, and stories for marketing use.
● Become fluent in Shadowbox’s branding guidelines and strategies.
● Be the first line of defense in vetting and editing content for alignment and tone before posting.
● Assist in marketing sales of corporate/special events to drive attendance at our performances.
● Market our community space, UpFront, and assist in forming the brand’s growth tactics.
● Coordinate schedules and deliverables to keep marketing campaigns and event promotions on track.
● Produce, schedule, and monitor posts across social media platforms.
● Build engagement and respond to patron inquiries on social media in a timely and professional manner.
● Draft and send email campaigns, newsletters, and performance reminders.
● Propose tools to help support various marketing efforts (digital fliers, etc).
● Assist with copywriting and editing for web, print, and promotional materials.
● Track and report on performance of social media, email, and other outreach efforts.
● Support grassroots and community outreach to broaden awareness of performances and events.
What You’ll Bring
● 1–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field (internships orarts/nonprofit experience welcome).
● Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
● Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
● Familiarity with social media platforms, email marketing tools, and basic design programs (Canva, Adobe, Mailchimp, etc.).
● A creative spirit, with a passion for the performing arts and interest in working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
● Culturally fluent, strategic mindset–understands what content works across different audiences.

Schedule & Hours
Administrative hours are Tuesday–Friday, 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., with occasional Monday or evening hours for performances, donor events, or special projects. One evening show worked per week is required to help with show operations and to gather necessary content. These additional hours bring the role closer to a standard full-time schedule.
