As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a highly visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support patients, visitors, and staff with strong customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating notifications to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout buildings, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions.
- Control access at designated entrances by verifying identification and/or credentials, monitoring visitor sign-in processes, and directing individuals to appropriate destinations in accordance with site policies.
- Complete detailed reports for security-related incidents, patrol activity, and unusual observations, and communicate pertinent information during shift transitions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
