Weekend Work as Project Needs RequireWhy This Opportunity?Join a contractor supporting a major building expansion at an active plastics manufacturing facility in Heath, OH. This long-term opportunity provides hands-on construction safety leadership while multiple trades complete expansion and facility construction activities within an active industrial environment.The Construction Safety Manager will maintain a strong field presence while partnering with project leadership, contractors, and craft personnel to identify hazards, maintain OSHA compliance, and safely coordinate construction activities around ongoing manufacturing operations.Required Qualifications✔ OSHA 30 Construction Certification✔ Minimum 5 years of construction safety experiencePreferred Qualifications⭐ Industrial or manufacturing construction experience⭐ Building expansion or renovation experience⭐ Experience supporting construction within active manufacturing facilities⭐ Multi-trade contractor safety oversight experience⭐ CHST, ASP, CSP, or other BCSP credentialWhat You'll Be DoingOversee daily safety activities for building expansion and construction operationsMaintain a strong field presence alongside contractors and project supervisionConduct routine site inspections, audits, field observations, and risk assessmentsMonitor multiple construction trades and subcontractor activitiesEnsure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirementsSupport safe coordination between construction activities and ongoing manufacturing operationsReview Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plansMonitor fall protection, elevated work, material handling, and equipment operationsLead incident investigations and corrective action implementationMaintain safety documentation, reports, inspections, and compliance recordsPartner with project leadership to proactively identify and mitigate hazardsPromote a positive safety culture throughout the projectTechnical KnowledgeCandidates should have working knowledge of:OSHA Construction StandardsIndustrial Construction SafetyManufacturing Facility ConstructionBuilding Expansion & Renovation ActivitiesMulti-Trade Construction OperationsContractor & Subcontractor Safety ManagementFall Protection & Elevated WorkAerial Lifts & MEWPsMaterial Handling OperationsHeavy Equipment SafetyHot Work SafetyLockout/Tagout (LOTO) AwarenessJob Hazard Analysis (JHA) DevelopmentIncident Investigation & Root Cause AnalysisConstruction Risk Assessment & MitigationWhat Success Looks LikeThe ideal candidate is a field-focused safety professional who can effectively manage construction safety within an active manufacturing environment.
