Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Behavioral Health within an acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in managing behavioral health patients in a medical environment (non-psychiatric facility).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to behavioral health patients in an acute care setting
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer and manage medications safely
- Utilize milieu management techniques to maintain a safe therapeutic environment
- Monitor patient behavior and respond to crisis situations
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care
Patient Population
- Adult Behavioral Health patients in an acute care hospital setting
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 18 months of recent Behavioral Health experience in an acute care (non-psychiatric) setting
- Minimum 18 months of permanent RN experience in a short-term acute care hospital prior to travel assignments
- Active RN License (Ohio or Compact State) – required at submission
- BLS (AHA or equivalent) – Required
