Job Description:
The Business Data Analyst will support the IT Director of Data Products and Analytics, managing the development of high-priority data analytics projects that enhance AstraZeneca's ability to improve patient outcomes. This role offers high visibility with both business and IT leadership and directly impacts the strategic initiative of building out a modern data lake platform.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Drive technical solutions based on business requirements in alignment with IT architecture standards and processes.
• Define requirements as a BA and drive the design of relational models, developing semantic relationships between tables and entities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and convert business needs into actionable deliverables.
• Relay requirements to technical teams to support ETL/ELT transformations using PySpark in notebook-based development.
• Contribute to the delivery of analytics projects within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Required Skills:

• 7+ years of experience as a Business Data Analyst.
• 4+ years of Power BI experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong background in stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and data lake platforms.
• Exposure to PySpark or similar tools.
• Leadership ability with potential for people management as the team grows.
