Automotive Technician (B-Tech)

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles while ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced service environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
- Diagnose the cause of malfunctions and complete necessary repairs
- Communicate with Service Manager to obtain required parts
- Inspect vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is needed
- Notify Service Advisor of additional work, unnecessary work, or delays in completion
- Document all work performed and recommended on repair orders
- Conduct road tests when required
- Report equipment defects or malfunctions to supervisor
- Maintain cleanliness and condition of customer vehicles
- Keep shop area clean and organized
- Properly maintain and return all shop tools and manuals
- Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, hazardous waste, etc.)
- Operate tools and equipment safely
- Report safety concerns immediately
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as an Automotive Technician
- ASE Certification(s) preferred or in progress
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems (engines, transmissions, brakes, HVAC)
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair equipment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift, stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Working Conditions
- Full-time position; occasional overtime may be required
- Work performed in a service bay/garage environment
- Exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and varying temperatures
- Frequent standing, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
- Use of PPE (gloves, safety glasses, steel-toed boots) required
- Team-oriented environment focused on safety, efficiency, and customer service
