Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Physician Office / Clinical Nursing

Location: Cincinnati, OH 45227 (Onsite)

Employment Type: Contract

Compensation:

• Local Pay: $35 – $38/hour
• Traveler Pay: $45 – $48/hour

Schedule:

• Shift: Day Shift
• Hours: 08:00 AM – 04:30 PM
• Work Week: 40 hours/week (5x8-hour shifts)
• Weekend Requirement: Not specified
• Holiday Requirement: As per operational needs

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care in a physician office setting . This role involves patient assessments, education, medication management, EMR documentation, and support to physicians during clinical procedures.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage patient interactions effectively in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient interviews to assess medical concerns and document findings
• Record vital signs , including weight and physical assessments
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures
• Provide patient education on treatments, medications, and test results
• Manage phone triage and respond to patient inquiries
• Follow up on physician orders, lab results, and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation including patient history and assessments
• Utilize EMR systems for task management, messaging, and care coordination
• Respond to emergency situations per clinical protocols
• Maintain readiness of crash cart and defibrillator
• Support overall clinical operations and patient care activities

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 3+ years of RN experience preferred
• Experience in a physician office or outpatient setting preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities

Education:

• Diploma in Nursing required
• BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) preferred

Certifications & Licensure:

• Active Ohio RN License or Compact State License
• AHA BLS Certification required

Additional Requirements:

• Experience with IM (Intramuscular) and SQ (Subcutaneous) injections
• Familiarity with EMR systems (experience with Centricity preferred)
• Experience with insurance appeals, FMLA/disability forms , and lab/imaging coordination preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Experience maintaining clinical equipment (defibrillator, EKG, treadmill, crash cart) preferred
• Ability to handle emergency response situations effectively
