Opportunity:
We are currently seeking an Accounting Specialist that supports accounting operations and financial reporting activities by analysis, reconciliations, month-end close support, and maintenance of accurate financial records. This role serves as a key contributor to the accuracy and efficiency of the accounting function.
Responsibilities:
- Process and maintain accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions
- Prepare and post routine journal entries and perform account reconciliations
- Support month-end close activities and financial reporting processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Monitor, investigate and resolve discrepancies related to invoices, payments, account balances, and financial results
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
- Assist with variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and other financial planning activities
- Assist with audit preparation by gathering documentation and responding to requests
- Support compliance with internal controls, policies, and accounting standards
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial information
- Analyze financial results and identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 2–4 years of experience in an accounting or finance role
- Working knowledge of accounting principles, and month-end close processes
- Experience preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, or monthly financial reports preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a professional services environment
- Ability to independently manage assigned accounting processes
- Experience supporting month-end close processes
- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, or variance analysis
- Experience preparing or reviewing monthly financial statements and reports
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to identify discrepancies, investigate issues, and recommend solutions
- Experience with ERP or accounting systems

Benefits/Compensation:
Determining actual compensation relies on many factors including individual candidate experience, qualifications, and comparable benchmarks. Base compensation for this role typically ranges between $24.04 - $31.25 an hour.
