Centerless Grinder

We are searching for a manual OD/ID grinder for one of our partners in Cleveland! This individual could have 1-2 years experience in CNC or Manual as long as they are willing to learn!

What you’ll do:

• Set up manual grinder machinery.
• Operate manual grinder machinery upholding and adhering to production standards and ISO 9001 regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect product to print, looking for any flaws and defect of material, including deburring if necessary.
• Move completed material to next workstation.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.
• Daily verbal communication with employees regarding work schedules and jobs. Written and verbal communication with management as needed.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED (One year certificate from college or technical school preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum six months related experience or training.
• Ability to interpret and understand verbal and written directions and interact with multiple personality types.
• Ability to read and interpret blue prints.
• Mechanically inclined with strong math skills. Ability to read basic measuring devices, including micrometers and calipers. Working knowledge of surface footage and feed rates, and experienced in calculating feeds and speeds.
• Physical conditions are consistent with a typical production environment. Large material is moved by overhead cranes and Centerless Grinder Operators must know how to operate the equipment properly. Daily lifting of up to 50 lbs. Exposure to grinding fluids and oils.
